Being fair to the Pharisees - and other matters requiring care as Christians prepare to celebrate Easter

Christians disapprove of slander and hate crime but historically Holy Week and Easter have been prime times for both. How should Christians today avoid sullying their festival with careless anti-Semitism? Week by week how should they take care, for example, to be fair to the Pharisees?  The evening provides an opportunity to check that Christians treat Jews and Judaism in a respectful, appreciative way. Issues concerning the State of Israel will not be ignored.  The centuries-long ‘Teaching of contempt’ has been bad news for Jews, but also for Christians, who have acted in a style quite unlike that of Jesus.
