In Search of the Unknowable

‘Except for the point, the still point, there would be no dance, and there is only the dance’ ( T.S.Eliot)

How can we reach the Unknowable? What are the obstacles within us? In this retreat
we will be looking at three aspects of ourselves - body, mind, and spirit - to discover what stops us being fully open and available. We will
be working with three practices: The Law of Three enables us to see and appreciate the dynamic flow of creation; Centering Prayer is a contemplative practice that reveals our hidden agendas; and the Alexander Technique is a practice of letting go of tension in our bodies and resistance in our thoughts. The days will follow a rhythm consisting of extended periods of Centering Prayer, study sessions, experimentation with the embodying principles of Alexander, and the practice of conscious work. There will be opportunities for sharing, discussion, and simple contemplative liturgy. Time outside of sessions will be mostly held in silence with ample time for private reflection.
