Jazzy Jewellery - Beaded, Knitted, Crocheted, Wired!

Sally Boehme has been working with beads for almost 30 years, and has been teaching beadwork and polymer clay techniques since 2009 all around the country.

Sally’s ‘Jazzy Jewellery’ workshop is like no other. It uses the artistic possibilities of beadweaving, knitting and crochet to create very unusual yet stunning effects; and it is suitable for complete beginners, because the techniques Sally teaches are genuinely simple – and easy to reproduce back home.

Sally will take you through four different projects in order to showcase the huge potential of working with beads, wire and yarns (with the occasional piece of pretty fabric added for good measure). The four projects will focus on creating jewellery pieces such as necklaces, pendants, earrings and bracelets, but the techniques taught will be easily adaptable to other uses. The first projects will create two entirely different looks using crochet (but not crochet as you know it!). For the third project, you will learn how to twist wire with beads to create structural units for jewellery or decorative pieces. The final project will switch to knitting, but with wire and beads along with fabric and a little beadweaving.

*The fee for the course does not cover the cost of materials. You are welcome to bring your own beads (including broken necklaces suitable for recycling), but Sally will bring everything that you might need for loan or sale. Count on approximately £10 to £20 of additional costs.

Maximum number of 10, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
