Living Well - Nurture Yourself

This weekend provides the opportunity to consider what it means to nurture ‘Your Self’ in a wholesome and rounded way - mind, body and spirit.

We are all drowning in advice about how to look after ourselves by reducing stress, making time for exercise, eating healthily, thinking positively and so on. Not only does information abound but much of the ‘advice’ causes confusion since it seems constantly to change. How do I navigate my way through this bewildering maze and tune into my own wisdom?  What is particularly significant and relevant for me?

Topics include: creating personal balance, managing stress, enhancing sleep, adopting a positive attitude, appreciating my ‘self’, eating wisely and enjoying food, exercising appropriately and ageing gracefully.

The approach will be interactive and creative. There is an assumption that we may just need reminders of what we already know but perhaps need encouragement to adopt or stick to.

The aim is to leave encouraged/invigorated with a more balanced and considered view of one’s personal needs and priorities.

Ann Beazer has had a long interest in wellness together with the roles of nutrition, exercise and the mind.  She is a teacher and trainer with a wealth of experience and practical expertise, comprising many years leading stress management seminars (including work with the BMA). Spiked with her own down-to-earth approach and practical experience, she brings a welcoming fresh perspective to the whole subject area.
