Praying with Music. Mozart's Mass in C Minor

“Euan promised to take us on an unusual and enriching journey, and he delivered his promise. He was thoughtful and insightful throughout, yet his touch was light, and his joy in sharing his love of music with others was inspirational. I could not fault him on anything!”

This year Euan Tait will share with you his love of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor. He writes: “Mozart’s great Mass takes the soul on a powerful and very recognisable human journey towards Christ. There is the Kyrie’s fierce pleading, then loving humour, dancing, confrontations, and the cries of our longings.  We will explore the inner life and the humanity of this work in a context of loving prayer, praying both with music and with Scripture. My hope is that we will all discover fresh ways of faith through Mozart’s great gift to us.”

Euan Tait is a singer and double bass player as well as an experienced trainer, liturgist, poet and preacher. He was until 2013 a resident member of staff at Ammerdown. He leads retreats across the country and is a professional librettist as well as a lecturer in English and Creative Writing.

Led by: Euan Tait
