Returning to Our Spiritul Roots

This hands-on retreat takes us back to the spiritual roots of Christianity as we engage at a heart and soul level with some of the universal themes shared by Christians and Jews (freedom, revelation, renewal and abundance), and how they relate to our own lives and the lives of those around us.

We will explore these themes by looking at the major Jewish Festivals. We will not only reflect on their personal and spiritual significance, but also step into the spiritual practices associated with them in order to get a taste of what it means to be part of God’s creation and our role in it.

We will use a variety of approaches including creativity (no skills required), personal prayer, guided imagery, reflection and sharing.

The retreat will appeal to clergy and lay people, Jews of all denominations and those interested in exploring their own faith journeys

The retreat will be led by Esther Aronsfeld, an interfaith minister and spiritual director from a Jewish background. She also leads retreats for the Creative Arts Retreat Movement and conducts contemplative worship and retreats for her own synagogue community in north west London.

Led by: Esther Aronsfeld

Please arrive 12 noon Monday. The course ends with lunch on Friday.
