Professional singer and choir director Jenny Peplow has already led this highly enjoyable course twice at Ammerdown and has received superb feedback each time. Participants tell us that Jenny was inspirational, giving them confidence as well as lots of useful advice, and was so enthusiastic in sharing her love of singing that they were all swept away by it! The only criticism we received last year was that the course was too short. We have therefore decided to make it one day longer this year.
The course is aimed at those people who enjoy singing but lack in confidence. If you are one of them, this course will give you a chance to overcome your doubts and inhibitions whilst having a lot of fun. “It’s amazing what a few singing lessons can do for our voices”, says Jenny. “Come and learn some of the secrets of the trade, and also discover the benefits and joys of harmony singing.”
Jenny Peplow has been teaching people to sing individually and in groups and choirs for 30 years. She has private pupils and also currently directs four different choirs. As a professional singer, she is well aware of the benefits of singing properly, and of the breathing and other techniques that help to produce a beautiful sound.
Please note that there is no requirement to be able to read music and that the course is open to all. However, some experience of singing, even if limited (maybe when you were at school or when you go to church?), is highly recommended in order to ensure you make the most of the course.
