Enjoy a weekend exploring the wonders of mime and physical theatre with professional mime artist Ken Wylie. You will learn the "glass wall" and "the box" but discover that mime is so much more and can offer a fresh way of communicating and expressing your story or faith. You will have great fun and will learn to present stories in a new way. Also, it will open up your own creativity and give new hope to your dramatic aspirations, whether for yourself or in group work.
Led by: Ken Wylie
Please arrive by 6pm on Friday. Course ends with lunch on Sunday.

Ken writes: “I very much hope that participation in the weekend will allow people to discover new things about themselves and their interaction with the world around them.”
Ken would also like to stress that, although the course will be physical, it will only be gently so, allowing participants to go as far as they want in terms of throwing themselves in or simply dipping their toes.
Ken Wylie has performed as a mime for over 15 years. Introduced to mime by Dave Hopwood (formerly Creative Director at Lee Abbey), he later trained under Desmond Jones School of Mime and Physical Theatre in London. He works mostly in primary schools and churches throughout Britain and has travelled to perform in Albania, Belgium, Germany, USA and Ethiopia with the Bible Reading Fellowship and Fishy Music. He is constantly excited at the possibilities for mime and what people receive from it whether participating or watching. Ken is currently in training for the priesthood in the Church of England.
