An introduction to renowned Lebanese poet, artist and philosopher, Khalil Gibran.
Kahlil Gibran, is primarily known for his book, "The Prophet." The book, published in 1923, would sell tens of millions of copies, making him the third best-selling poet of all time, behind Shakespeare and Laozi. Published in 108 languages, passages from "The Prophet" are quoted at weddings, in political speeches and at funerals, inspiring influential figures such as John F. Kennedy, Indira Gandhi, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, and David Bowie.
Course Leader:
Sue Glanville has broad and varied experience of teaching, church leadership, coaching and spiritual direction. She has been writing and organising courses and retreats since 2005, including many at Ammerdown, as well as Dartmoor, Bardsey, Lundy and Iona Islands, and trekking in the Himalayas. Sue loves wild spaces and exploring the many ways that we can encounter God in our lives.
